Freight Forwarding
Freight Forwarding

As leading Customs Clearance Managers, away from Dover, we regularly handle Air and Ocean Freight shipments to and from all over the world.
Enjoying the momentum of our drive to obtain accurate and speedy release of goods through Customs, Traders often commented they felt they had a lack of control over the arrival, release, or shipment of their consignments, which affected their planning.
In 1995, we set up our own Freight Forwarding department to address the issues. Guided by the needs and questions of our clients, Martintrux identified rates and freight services available to and from any point, through all modes of transport, as part of our offering for supply chain solutions. Further enhanced with our own offices at both Heathrow and Manchester Airports, which also support ocean freight shipments, we can now provide Full Load, Part Load, LCL (less than a container load) Ocean Container services, and Airfreight routing by package or ULDs (Unit Load Devices – air industry containers), and specialise in shipping Hanging Garments with pre determined loading patterns.
Martintrux Dover continues to directly control airfreight for traditional customers, geared to those using particular Customs Procedures or requiring audit-trail through onward processing or shipment.
Heathrow office and warehouse operation opened in 2011; to receive and consign standard cargo and develop exports, including consolidations for both air and sea, as our own direct services. This gave us the opportunity to invite Airfreight professionals to join our team and add another layer to our offering and presence in the market.
Martintrux Heathrow now offers ADR trained staff handling regular Hazardous shipments and, amongst other successes, it manages an export air consol to South Africa, and packs an ocean consolidation to USA, as weekly services. Short term storage, special packing, pick and pack with ticketing, and distribution, are all provided from the Heathrow facility.
In 2013, Manchester Airport office opened to meet that airport’s developing flights and routes with Traders requiring smarter service for the North.
Our main sea freight routes include Bangladesh, China, Dubai, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and USA– through the primary Ports of Avonmouth, Belfast, Chatham, Felixstowe, Grangemouth, Greenock, Liverpool, Southampton, Tilbury and Thames Port. We are looking forward to incorporating the developments of DP World’s London Gateway, as many clients will benefit from its quick transport links and rail opportunities.
We also handle Airfreight on a daily basis through East Midlands, Gatwick, as well as Heathrow and Manchester.
