Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs police United Kingdom Customs Clearance Declarations primarily for revenue and statistical purposes, to rules and regulations laid down by the European Commission of the EU, and also act for, and in conjunction with, many other Government Departments, such as: Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS); Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Department for Transport – and local authorities, such as Port Health. Martintrux hold HM Revenue and Customs accreditation as an AEO – Authorised Economic Operator; our processes and systems are regularly audited. AEOs are recognised throughout the European Union and some other countries, as being trusted for minimum scrutiny.
We hold our own Deferment Account to assist Importers without their own facility to account Import Duties and VAT, and operate a significant Community Transit Guarantee to enable Exporters to move T1 Status goods (or T2 Transit) from the UK.
